Bemidji Dental Clinic is pleased to have a large team of well-educated and expertly trained professionals. We regularly pursue continuing education courses and aim to provide the highest standard of care for all patients. No matter what kind of problem you or a loved one presents, you can expect that we will do our best to ensure your safety and comfort with a compassionate approach. If you would like to learn more about us, read our bios below before you arrive.
Sammie, Practice Manager

Sammie is motivated by the people she works with, referring to both our patients and her fellow team members! She brings over 15 years of experience to our practice and began her career as a dental assistant before moving to the administrative side. She and her husband have two young sons, along with over 25 chickens. So much of their lives are spent outdoors, whether they are gardening, canning, or fishing.
Sandy, Assistant Manager

Sandy says it’s easy to choose her favorite part of her job—her teammates! She attends Star of the North with our staff every year for continuing education, and she is engaged with one daughter and two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and watching her kids’ sports. When she has a free moment, she loves to shop and decorate her home.
Bailey, Administrative Assistant

Bailey joined us in 2022, and she says that the best thing about our office is how everyone works together as a team to meet our patients’ needs efficiently and completely. On the weekends, you’ll usually find her hiking, gardening, playing a variety of musical instruments, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
Nancy, Administrative Assistant

Nancy takes a lot of pride in doing her job behind the scenes to the best of her ability, which ultimately benefits our patients and team. Married to our own Dr. David Schram, they have two wonderful adult children and two beautiful granddaughters, along with a beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Having lived in Bemidji for over 30 years, she likes having a house tucked away in the woods where it’s easy to enjoy nature, including walks in the woods and tapping maple trees to make syrup.
Taylor, Administrative Assistant

Taylor started her dental career with us, and she loves working with a team that feels like family, who makes a difference in the community. Life is busy back home for her and her partner, thanks to their four children, but when she can, she likes to go hiking and spend quality time at the lake.
Heather, Licensed Dental Hygienist

Heather started her career as a dental assistant, and after joining our team, she furthered her education at Lake Superior College to become a hygienist. She looks forward to creating healthy, attractive smiles while building meaningful relationships with our patients every day. Married to the love of her life, Nick, they recently bought their first home and have a dog named Oliver. When she isn’t working, Heather enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and adventuring outdoors, whether it’s hiking, fishing, or camping.
Jaime, Licensed Dental Hygienist

Jaime has been forming connections with her patients and helping them transform their oral health for over 15 years. Happily married with three beautiful daughters, two sons-in-law, and two grandsons, she likes to spend time at the family cabin, hunting and relaxing with her pets. Before going into dentistry, she played oboe in professional orchestras and taught lessons for over 25 years.
Kaitlin, Licensed Dental Hygienist

Kaitlin loves meeting new patients, catching up with returning ones, and empowering everyone she takes care of with education. She and her amazing husband, Cody, have two dogs and two cats who are their babies. When she isn’t cuddling with them, you’ll find her reading, exercising, hunting, or fishing.
Stacie, Licensed Dental Hygienist

Stacie says her job every day is to create new friendships while helping everyone stay healthy! She started in 2001 as an assistant before becoming a licensed hygienist in 2008. When she isn’t kayaking or exercising, she likes to hang out with family, including her son and grandson, as well as her daughter and cat.
Vikki, Licensed Dental Hygienist

Vikki says that every patient is her favorite, and you will be too when you come to see her! She has been taking care of smiles for over 20 years. A mother of two boys who always keep her on her toes, she loves the outdoors, growing things, cooking, and traveling at every opportunity.
Brittany, Licensed Dental Assistant

Brittany has over two decades of dental experience. Nothing makes her happier than seeing a patient go from being self-conscious about their teeth to smiling and being confident! In her words, life at home is a mix of “milestones and chaos.” She and her husband have one adult son who just welcomed their first grandchild, and they have a younger son and daughter, along with three energetic dogs. Outside of work, she dedicates her time to cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines at her kid’s sporting events or winding down by going on casual rides on the Ranger.
Hilary, Licensed Dental Assistant

Hilary has been with us for her entire 10+ year dental career! She loves getting to know our patients and now has ones that have been with her the whole time she has worked at BDC. Over the years, she has taken several continuing education courses, including ones focused on dental implants, same-day crowns, and phlebotomy. When she isn’t making memories with her husband and two children, Hilary likes to garden, growing vegetables and flowers. She also breeds German Wirehaired Pointers—she currently has three alongside her chickens and a leopard gecko.
Arica, Licensed Dental Assistant

Arica has been a part of the dental world for over 15 years, and her goal is to help patients feel knowledgeable and comfortable with their dental treatment. Married with a young son (and another one on the way!), she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors (especially with her goldendoodle), and watching/playing sports.
Jody, Licensed Dental Assistant

Jody has been with us for over 25 years and in dentistry for 35+ years! She’s an expert at helping patients conquer dental anxiety. She and her husband, Roy, have two adult children, Hannah and Joseph, as well as a very active golden retriever, Charlie. In the spring, summer, and fall, she explores new state and national parks. Camping is a passion for her and her husband, and now that they are a little older, they have gone from a tent to an RV and enjoy it so much.
Merritt, Licensed Dental Assistant

We’ve been very fortunate to have had Merritt with us for her entire 20+ year dental career. Married with two young boys, she likes to camp often at the Brooks Racetrack in the summer and stay warm playing board and card games indoors throughout the winter.
